Say what you want to be told about.
Last reviewed
Instead of finding a page, picking an element and writing a rule, you write one sentence, such as "Tell me when the FDA posts a new warning letter." Peekivo looks for the official page, checks that it really shows what you asked about, and shows you one card with the page, the rule and an earlier example. Nothing is watched until you approve that card. Peekivo is in early access: this page describes how the assistant is designed to work, and it is not available yet.
How it is designed to work
- Say it. Write what you want to hear about in your own words. Peekivo may ask up to two questions, for example which country you mean.
- Peekivo finds and checks the page. It looks for the source, opens it and checks that it shows what you asked about, including an earlier example where one exists.
- You approve one card. The card shows the page, what is watched, when you will be told, how often it is checked and what it uses from your plan.
- It watches and tells you. When the rule matches, you get an alert with the page before and after the change.
Example: a change to an official level
The card names the exact page and the part of it the rule reads. If the site answers with a bot wall or a CAPTCHA, the watch reports that it was blocked; it does not get around the block and it never treats a blocked check as "no change". This is an example of how a card looks, not a statement about the current advisory.
Example: a new item on an official list
The official list stays the authority: the FDA publishes the letters, and Peekivo only tells you that a new one appeared on the list.
Nothing starts until you approve
Your approval belongs to the exact card you saw. If anything on it changes before the watch starts, such as the page, the rule or the cadence, the approval no longer counts and Peekivo shows you the new card. Later changes to a watch, like pausing it or changing its rule, also wait for your approval.
What it will not do
- It will not watch a private person.
- It will not watch pages that need a login.
- It will not get around a bot wall, CAPTCHA or other block.
Honest answers when it cannot help
- Blocked: the page refused the check.
- Not found: no page that shows what you asked about turned up.
- Needs a web address: you can paste the page yourself.
- Unsupported: the request is not something Peekivo can watch.
- Refused: the request is one of the things it will not do, with the reason.
- Limit reached: your plan's setups for the month are used up.
What the AI decides and what it does not
- The words it watches for come from your sentence; the AI cannot invent them.
- Peekivo's own code builds the choices, such as candidate pages and rule types, and the AI picks from them. No fact the AI writes is trusted on its own.
- A fixed rule decides when you are alerted. The AI can never hold back an alert.
- For lists, the AI may add a separately labelled possible match for a new entry your words missed. It never replaces the rule.
- The assistant never sees the text of the pages you watch. Page content appears only in cards drawn by Peekivo's own code, so a web page cannot give the assistant instructions.
It also works without the AI
If you already know the page, you can set up a watch yourself: give the address, choose the part of the page and set the rule. When the search or the AI is switched off, this manual path works the same way.

Questions
Can AI monitor a website for me?
In Peekivo's design, AI helps set up the watch: it turns your sentence into a proposed page and rule. The checking and the decision to alert are done by a fixed rule, and you approve the plan before anything is watched.
How do I get notified when something specific changes on a website?
Watch only the part of the page that matters, such as a price, a status or a list, with a rule that says when to tell you. In Peekivo you can describe that in a sentence or set it up by hand.
What happens if the page blocks the check?
The watch reports that it was blocked and keeps the time of its last successful read. Peekivo does not get around blocks, and a blocked check never counts as no change.
Do I have to approve anything?
Yes. Every new watch and every change to one waits for your approval of the exact card you saw.
