# Cookie Policy

Version v1. Last updated: 5 October 2026.

**In short:** This site sets two cookies of its own: one that remembers your cookie choice and one that protects the waitlist from abuse. Both are essential. Google Analytics cookies need your consent in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Türkiye and associated territories; elsewhere they are on by default and you can turn them off. With analytics cookies off, Google still receives cookieless pings that carry no cookie or device identifier. Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures page views and loading speed, sets no cookie. Cloudflare may set a security cookie when its bot protection applies to your request.

## 1. Scope

This policy covers the cookies and similar technologies used on peekivo.com: the public pages, the waitlist form and these legal pages. Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Essential cookies are needed for the site to work securely and to remember your choices; optional analytics cookies follow the regional rules in section 3.

## 2. Essential cookies

peekivo-consent stores only your cookie choice, the policy version and when you made the choice. It is set when you choose: for 13 months if you refuse or turn off analytics, so that we do not ask again sooner, and for 180 days if you allow it. __Host-peekivo-visitor holds a random identifier signed by us. It is set only when you submit the waitlist form, for 30 days, cannot be read by page scripts and lets us limit waitlist sign-ups per browser; our servers keep only a keyed one-way digest of it. Cloudflare may also set __cf_bm, cf_clearance or _cfuvid when its bot protection, a security challenge or a rate-limiting rule applies to your request. These cookies are always on.

## 3. Analytics cookies

This site uses Google Analytics 4. Its first-party cookies _ga and _ga_<ID> let us count visits and see which public pages are used, without your email address or form contents. In opt-in regions (the 27 EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Türkiye, together with the Åland Islands, Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Réunion, Mayotte, Saint Martin, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man, and any visitor whose country cannot be determined) they are set only after you accept analytics; before that, Google's tag may send cookieless pings that carry no cookie or device identifier, described in section 6 of the Privacy Policy. Everywhere else they are set by default unless you turn analytics off or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal; after that, Google's tag still loads and may send the same cookieless pings, which carry no cookie or device identifier. Google sets them for about two years; some browsers shorten that, for example Chrome to at most 400 days. The site never sets _gid, _gat or any advertising or personalisation cookie. Cloudflare Web Analytics, described in section 6 of the Privacy Policy, measures page views and loading speed for every visitor and sets no cookie, so the choices in this policy do not affect it.

### Cookies this site can set

| Name | Purpose | Expiry |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `peekivo-consent` | Essential. Remembers your cookie choice and the policy version. Set by Peekivo. | 13 months if you refuse or turn off analytics; 180 days if you allow it |
| `__Host-peekivo-visitor` | Essential. Signed random identifier used to limit waitlist sign-ups per browser. Set by Peekivo. | 30 days |
| `__cf_bm, cf_clearance, _cfuvid` | Essential, only when needed. Bot protection, security challenges and rate limiting. Set by Cloudflare. | __cf_bm 30 minutes; others as set by Cloudflare |
| `_ga` | Analytics. First-party; set only after you accept in opt-in regions, by default elsewhere unless you turn it off. Distinguishes visitors. Set by Google Analytics. | About 2 years (some browsers cap it, e.g. 400 days) |
| `_ga_<ID>` | Analytics. Same rules as _ga. Keeps session state. Set by Google Analytics. | About 2 years (some browsers cap it, e.g. 400 days) |

Essential cookies are always on. Analytics cookies need your consent in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Türkiye and associated territories and are on by default elsewhere until you turn them off. Cloudflare's security cookies appear only when the protection that sets them applies to your request.

## 4. Bot protection

When you first interact with the waitlist form, the site loads Cloudflare Turnstile from challenges.cloudflare.com to tell people from automated sign-ups. Turnstile processes your IP address, TLS fingerprint and browser user-agent; Cloudflare states that it does not use cookies. Turnstile is essential to the waitlist and runs only when you use the form.

## 5. Managing your choice

In opt-in regions, the cookie bar offers Reject non-essential and Accept analytics as equal choices. Elsewhere, an analytics notice offers Turn off analytics and Keep analytics on; turning it off takes effect immediately and expires the analytics cookies. Google's tag keeps loading, but with analytics off it sets no analytics cookie and sends only cookieless pings that carry no cookie or device identifier. Everywhere you can use the controls below, the Manage link in the bar or Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice at any time. A decision to turn analytics off is remembered for 13 months, a decision to allow it for 180 days. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, the waitlist form may not work.

## 6. What is true today

This site sets peekivo-consent once you make a cookie choice and __Host-peekivo-visitor only when you submit the waitlist form; opening a page sets neither. Analytics cookies appear once you accept them in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Türkiye and associated territories, and by default elsewhere unless you turn them off. Google's tag loads on public pages for every visitor; while analytics is off it sends only cookieless pings that carry no cookie or device identifier, and advertising signals are never enabled. Your choice is stored only in this browser, so on another browser or device you choose again. Questions: privacy@peekivo.com.
